I want the perfect camera bag – I do, I really do. I have spent a small fortune trying different brands and different types of bags – over the shoulder, rucksacks etc.. I was hoping that the Peak Design bag was going to be the Holy Grail.
The bag costs around £200 in the UK, which isn’t cheap, but the bag is wonderfully made and it will last a very long time.
The bag comes with 3 dividers which can be pushed and pulled into many shapes to fit the gear that you want to carry.
It fits my Fuji gear really well and there are some good design ideas on the bag.
But for me after using it for 6 weeks, it’s not the one.
For me it’s to ridged, there is no give, I couldn’t get it to sit right on my hip or around on my back. I found the strap to be uncomfortable when the bag was loaded or even half loaded. The zipper opening on the top of the bag for quick and easy access is to tight and it’s far quicker to just open the bag and get out what you wanted.
So, in the end, I decided that it wasn’t for me and sold it on Gumtree.
I think this first generation is a good start, and hopefully, they can fine-tune some of the items on the bag for version 2.
But for now, I’m back using the Think Tank Retrospective 7, which maybe I should enjoy and stopping looking for that perfect bag!
