I've been thinking long and hard about how I want to shoot weddings in 2018 and then onwards to 2019.
I have shot a lot of weddings over the last 24 months, I have shot 4 hours coverage, half days and full day weddings - I've done some weddings that have been 14 hours long.
I'd already decided that the 4-hour coverage was going to be dropped as an option for 2018, I've also now made the decision that I'm going to offer one wedding option for 2018 and that's the full day option.
I've shot some really awesome weddings with my 4 hour and half day packages and I would not change a thing about what I was able to capture, but I do wish on some of the weddings I could have shot the whole day - start to finish, to have been able to tell more of the story.
Like a honed athlete you need to warm up, you need to get in the zone, and wedding's for me can be like that - it can also take people some time to get used to you, get used to the idea of someone you have never met wondering around your house or your wedding venue taking pictures.
A full day wedding allows people to warm to me quicker and understand that I'm there to help people have fun on the wedding day - it makes the Bride and Groom more relaxed if the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen are relaxed and getting used to me is part of all that.
So for 2018 and 2019 - I'm going to offer just a single wedding coverage option.
