BRIDGFORD HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
It's time for a slightly different wedding blog post; this time, it's from the small and intimate wedding of Mark and Deb, who got married at Bridgford Hall in West Bridgford on an oddly warm day in October 2019.
Mark and Deb were having a simple wedding, just close family and friends for the wedding ceremony and the afternoon tea at a local tea room.
Both Mark and Deb's wanted a relaxed wedding photographer who would let them enjoy the day and capture all the fun and natural wedding moments that happen on a wedding day.
I love small weddings like this; it's nice to be able to focus on a small number of people whom you get to know a little bit because you spend more time with them; you also get to hear the chat when they are catching up with family members - its nice, really nice.
A couple of my favourite wedding images from last year are in this wedding photography blog post - one is the photo you see above, which was taken just after the confetti throwing / lobbing - just two people having a moment together, captured in a split second, two very happy people.
Another of my favourite images from 2019 is below and is one of Mark taking tissue from the tissue box; to some people, they may think he has a cold or has spilt something and needs to mop it up, but having spent some time with Mark and Deb before the wedding - I know it's because he was getting emotional; he warned me many times that despite being together for a very long time and already having a family together, getting married would set him off - and it did!
Once the guys had said the vows, and we had done a couple of family pictures, it was time for a small walk to a local tea room to have afternoon tea.
The tea room the guys headed to was the White Rabbit Teahouse in West Bridgford, a lovely little vintage tea shop that put on an amazing spread of food - I'd highly recommend a visit.
Mark and Deb are a lovely couple who waited a long time to get married - it was a pleasure to be able to photograph their wedding naturally and let them get on with having fun.
