Back on the 1st of September last year, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Lindsay and Nick at East Bridgford Hill, a stunning venue and a really fun and unique wedding.
When I first met Lindsay and Nick we talked about Lindsay’s phobia of having her photograph taken, now most people say they don’t like having their photograph taken (me included), but for Lindsay, it was much more of a worry – this sentence was taken from Lindsay’s very kind review.
“I’ve had a genuine phobia of photos ever since I was a small child, so the thought of having someone taking photos all day for my wedding filled me with terrible anxiety.
Thank god we found Andy. He listened to my worries and ask questions to really understand what we wanted and how to make me feel more comfortable. He explained the best way to organise things and was really flexible throughout the day”
I remember on the day, several people coming up to me asking if Lindsay really had booked a photographer, or was I part of the venue and Lindsay had to put up with a photographer… I had one of Lindsay’s friends tell me that I would be at the wedding for an hour before Lindsay would kick me out 🙂
Well, I’m glad to say that Lindsay was awesome on the day, I didn’t really adjust my way of shooting and at times I was very close with the camera and Lindsay just let me do my thing, Lindsay didn’t hide or turn her back when she saw me – which was massive for me to be able to get the photos I got.
Happy anniversary guys!
