Capturing wedding preparation photos is an important start to the wedding day story, documenting the emotional journey of the bride, groom, friend, or family members as they prepare for one of the most significant days in someone’s life.
I love capturing the wedding morning preparations as I get to capture a range of emotions, from nervous anticipation to joyous excitement.
Not every couple wants to have Bridal preparations photographed, some couples do not like the idea of someone taking photos when they are nervous and getting ready for one of the biggest days of their life, but for some, the Bridal prep photos allow people to remember those moments leading up to the wedding ceremony and the feelings that they had.
My favorite images I look for on the morning of a wedding day are the Bride’s interactions with family members, bridesmaids, and other loved ones. These images help to showcase the love and support surrounding the bride as she prepares for her big day.
All my photos taken on the morning of a wedding day, whether from the point of view of the bride or the groom, friend or family member is always done in a documentary and candid way and I’m always looking for interesting and unqiue way to tell the story of peoples mornings as they build up to the wedding ceremony.
