At every one of the weddings I have photographed, I find myself drawn to the sounds of a wedding day, all the happy stories, all the stories of loved ones who are looking down upon the wedding, all the funny stories of childhood and stories from the stag do’s….
My Wedding Photofilms, capture the sounds and feel of a wedding day.
By using the sounds of the wedding ceremony, the speeches and the images from the wedding day all mixed together to create something truly special that can be watched over and over again.
The responses to the wedding photofilms have been great!
A Bride from last year who sadly lost her Dad a few months after her wedding, got in touch recently to say how important it has been to be able to hear his voice and his wedding speech.
It was her that made me push on with offering the wedding photofilm to all my couples.
What’s The Impact? Do We Have Sound Guys and Girls Everywhere!?
Haha – no, just me!
The way I record sound during the wedding doesn’t impact on the wedding at all.
For the Wedding Ceremony, I place a small lapel microphone (typically) on the Groom (easier to hide on a suit rather than a wedding dress!), a small microphone on the registrar/priest/vicar and if possible a recording is taken from the PA system at the wedding venue or Church.
For the speeches – everyone who is doing a speech has a small microphone placed on them and also a recording is made via the venue’s microphone and PA system (if possible).
Do We Get Anything Else With The Wedding Photofilm?
Yep – along with the Wedding Photofilm you get;
-> Full edited sound file from the wedding ceremony
-> Full edited sound file of all the speeches as they happened
-> Individual edited sound file of each speech
-> Photofilm in 4K and 1080p (HD) ready for social media
-> Photofilm hosted on a private Vimeo link which you can share
What’s The Cost? How Long Till We Get The Photofilm? How Do We Say Yes To A Wedding Photofilm?
The cost of the Wedding Photofilm is £295 with £150 due before the wedding (same time as the documentary wedding photography final balance).
The remaining balance is due within 3 months after the wedding and once paid – I get cracking on the sound, the music and pulling the story together.
I typically deliver the Wedding Photofilm around 4 to 6 weeks after the final balance has been paid, If I can get the Wedding Photofilm done quicker than 4 to 6 weeks – then, of course, I will get it too you as soon as possible.
You can let me know you want a Wedding Photofilm on the initial wedding booking form, or you can order a Wedding Photofilm at any stage up to the wedding day by dropping me an email and asking me to add it to your documentary wedding photography coverage.
We can also go through the Wedding Photofilm process at the final wedding meet-up, which is 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding.
