Wedding Photography at St Andrew's Church, Swanwick

Danielle and Paul were married at St Andrew's Church located in Swanwick, Derbyshire.

Wow - what a couple, what a story, what a family.

Sometimes I get an enquiry that hits me and you just know it's going to be a special wedding. I don't think I realised how special this wedding was going to be.

Last October I received this:

"Hello, I utterly love the style of your work and will be marrying the most amazing man at our local little church in Swanwick followed by a reception at Alfreton Hall" "Our story has many chapters which bring Paul and I together with a beautiful blend of 9 surviving children, so it's a celebration of step children, our individual children and a fairytale ending."

And you know what, it was an amazing emotional day. It's taken me longer than normal to edit Danielle and Paul's wedding. I had to step away from looking at the images as some were just too much - especially when you were there and you know the context of the moment.

Along with the emotional images of the day, there were also plenty of happy smiles, from getting a present of chocolate during the ceremony, getting the bus from the Church to Alfreton Hall and especially during ' Singing Waiters' who Danielle had booked without Paul knowing. These guys were brilliant and introduced themselves by dropping a wine chiller full of spoons - once they had everyone's attention they broke out into song! - Awesome.

Below are a few pictures from the day - all the images were captured using 2x Fujifilm XT2s, 1x Fujifilm X100f, 16mm f1.4, 23mm f2, 50mm f2 and the 50-140mm f2.8.
