Wedding Photography at Mapperley Farm
Jenny and Sean were married at Mapperley Farm located in Derbyshire.
My Day started with the girls getting ready at Jenny and Sean's house not too far away from me. When I got there the girls were pretty much ready to go! I managed to get a few getting ready shots before we all had to rush to leave!
The ceremony was held in a converted old barn, and we had lovely windows on one side of the room which looked beautiful but for us photographers it does pose its challenges; it's so important to not blow out the highlights on anything close to the window whilst also making sure that we retain detail in the shadows. I had everything crossed that the strong sun would go in for when Jenny walked down the aisle... but it didn't and I managed to retain a great deal of detail in the files and they have come up looking lovely!
After the ceremony, it was a brief stop off in the courtyard for some drinks and then onto the field where the marque and campsite was. I've seen a lot of marques and different set-ups and I think that Jenny and Sean got it bang on; there were plenty of spaces for people to sit down on the big sofas, plenty of dancing space and a nice big bar!
After the food and speeches, we all had a game of rounders followed by the disco and the amazing live band. It was a really nice day (a long one for me!), some really nice people and the bride and groom along with their two son's make a great little family!
A quick note about the venue; it was lovely, the staff were great and helpful; I'd 100% recommend this for a venue to get married at.
Below are a few pictures from the day - all the images were captured using 2x Fujifilm XT2s, 16mm f1.4, 23mm f2, 50mm f2 and the 50-140mm f2.8.
